Welcome to Eternal Doctors

Cosmetic Services

Dr Jessica Wilson and Dr Belinda Tosi have a special interest in cosmetic medicine. Both doctors specialise in non-surgical facial rejuvenation including anti-wrinkle and filler injections, skin needling and laser treatments. Dr Wilson has been working in this field for many years and has gained further specialist qualifications as a cosmetic physician.

Our faces are all unique. An initial consult will include a discussion of your goals of treatment, a facial assessment and a plan. These are cosmetic procedures and most treatments are not covered by medicare, however there is a rebate available for the use of laser to treat some skin conditions. Your doctor will discuss the costs of any planned treatment. We may suggest a combination of treatments to suit your needs.

Anti-wrinkle injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are muscle relaxants that block the message from nerve to muscle. This makes the muscle less able to contract and so reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

They are commonly used to treat smile lines, frown and forehead lines. We also used them for brow-lifting (one of Dr Wilson’s favourite!), facial slimming, jaw pain and excess sweating.

Dermal Filler

We use Hylaronic Acid filler.  It is used to reduce the appearance of ageing and also to enhance features. The results are noticeable immediately with no downtime. They play a large role in achieving facial symmetry and can be used to create the look of natural lift, volume and rejuvenation. We are  most commonly asked to treat lips, cheeks and tear troughs.

Laser treatments for pigmentation and rejuvenation

Our lasers are effective in targeting pigmentation and discoloration, broken capillaries, rosacea and facial redness. We also use them to treat red acne scars. Our vascular laser can also be used to treat spider veins on the legs. Some conditions may attract a medicare rebate. Most treatments will require just one or two treatments, while others may need more. This will depend on your condition. It can feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and and make it more comfortable. There will likely be some redness and possibly a bit of swelling for 1-2 days. Treated brown spots will darken but slough off within 3-6 days. Typically, you can wear make-up and return to your daily life and work immediately.

Laser Genesis

A laser treatment which delivers micro-pulses of energy to activate collagen remodelling. It is used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and target unwanted brown spots and facial redness. The individual treatments are subtle and useful prior to a big event as there is no downtime. The overall effect of a treatment series can be quite dramatic.

Microneedling

Microneedling is also known as ‘Collagen Induction Therapy’. We use a device with multiple fine needles to promote tissue stimulation and skin rejuvenation. Topical local anaesthetic is used which makes the treatment virtually painless. It is very helpful in the treatment of scarring, pigmentation and skin rejuvenation.

We also often use it in combination with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or hyaluronic acid.

PRP

PRP is a popular and natural treatment. It uses your own body’s cells for rejuvenation, to delay the appearance of ageing and to improve the quality of the skin. Growth factors in the plasma stimulate stem cells. This leads to increased soft tissue healing and regeneration.

It helps to treat laxity, skin texture, fine lines and crepy skin (eg under the eyes). It can be used to promote healing in scars and also as a treatment for hair-loss.

When the skin around the eyes are treated, there may be some swelling that can last for a few days. There is usually redness and may be some small bruises.

Skinboosters

Skin booster is a type of dermal filler that improve skin quality and correct early signs of ageing, increasing hydration and decreasing fine lines.

They are injected into the superficial layers of the skin and reintroduce hyaluronic acid which promotes new collagen and elastin formation. They improve overall skin quality and provide a glowing and naturally radiant complexion.

They are ideal for crepy under-eye skin, and can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Biomodulator

Bio-remodeling filler injections are used for  skin laxity, crepey skin or fine lines and wrinkles. While they contain the same substance as fillers – Hylauronic Acid (HA), they do not volumize like traditional fillers. The injections create hydration in the tissue and gives an all over natural, smoothing and lifted appearance. The appearance of fine lines, skin texture, and sag are improved, with a gain in overall skin quality and laxity.  This treatment  generally involves 2 treatment, 4 weeks apart.
